O’Neill Healthcare Bay Village

O’Neill Healthcare Bay Village is honored to be a 5-star CMS rated nursing home!

O’Neill Healthcare Bay Village, formerly known as Bradley Road Nursing Home, is the first facility built from the ground up by O’Neill Healthcare founders John and Alva O’Neill. Starting as a 25-bed nursing home 60 years ago, the facility has since grown to provide over 200 beds serving diverse levels of care. We’re honored to be a 5-star CMS rated nursing home that ranks in the top 10% of all nursing homes in the State of Ohio for resident satisfaction.

Located in Bay Village, a quiet lakeside community, the facility is 10 minutes from I-90 and Detroit Road, Crocker Park Shopping Complex, Avon Commons, medical and dental offices, public transportation, hotels, dining, Huntington Beach of the Cleveland Metroparks and more.

Cheers to 60 years 🎉

Last Friday we partied like it was 1962 with a cookout, ice cream bar, and music by the Polka Pirates! This indoor + outdoor event highlighted O’Neill Healthcare history and stories from our residents.

Thank you to all our residents, families, and friends for celebrating with us and for contributing to our success over the years.

Here’s to 60 more years and beyond of providing compassionate care in our community!

Love this 💓

Our Resident of the Month is Gayle G. Gayle was born and raised in Pennsylvania, and lived there until she got married in her early twenties. Her husband Dan was in the Air Force, so they moved around a lot. They spent time in New Jersey, Massachusetts, and New Mexico. They also lived in Italy for 3 years! Gayle held various jobs during this time at grocery stores, department stores, at a glass factory, and as a maid.

Gayle and Dan lived in Las Vegas for 20 years, from 1978-1998. When they retired, they travelled out West in their camper for about 14 years, making stops in California, Oregon, Washington, South Dakota, and Arizona. Gayle said, “We had a full life!”

A few of Gayle’s favorite hobbies were roller skating and playing tennis. She also enjoys gardening. Gayle volunteered with the Red Cross for many years.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Gayle. We are happy to have you here at O’Neill Healthcare Bay Village!

Nursing Home Week fun continued with a cookout and Hawaiian shirts on Tuesday! Thank you to our Administrator Gary for grilling burgers!

Today we played Staff vs Resident Jeopardy to see who knew the most about categories like O’Neill history, departments, and staff fun facts. The staff team won, but we all learned a lot!
