Part 3 Assisted Living Week!
It was a fun-filled week packed with animal visits and great entertainment! On Monday, the Elyria APL brought dogs to visit, and Decades put on a lively music performance. Tuesday was all about pets, featuring exotic birds from Hope Parrot Rescue along with a lizard and turtles brought in by resident Deanna’s grandson. On Thursday, the Akron Zoo gave an engaging presentation with a turtle, lizard, and another unique animal. We wrapped up our visits on Friday with baby goats and bunnies from Gaga for Goats, and finished off the wonderful week with a delicious steak and shrimp dinner! ...

Phyllis D.
Congratulations to Resident of the Month, Phyllis D! Phyllis was born in Pennsylvania and later moved to Olmsted Falls when she met her husband, Paul. Together they owned a General Store in Columbia Station. Her favorite part of owning the business was their candy bar. They had all types of different candy and loved seeing the reaction on the kids’ faces when they came into the store.
Phyllis and Paul shared two amazing children who then gave them 5 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Nowadays, her hobbies include going to activities and spending time with family. Phyllis used to love crocheting, crafting, shopping, and visiting Disney World. Phyllis’s favorite words of advice are “Be happy”.
