Recently, at O’Neill Healthcare North Olmsted, we had the privilege of celebrating one of our residents’ stories in a special way during our very first “Young at Heart Story Hour.”
Celebrating a Resident Author and Family Collaboration
Residents, families, and children from the community gathered for a heartwarming morning centered around the children’s book A New Home (A True Story), written by one of our assisted living residents, Jean. Adding an even more meaningful touch, the book was beautifully illustrated by her son, who was also in attendance—making it a true family collaboration that highlighted creativity, talent, and the bonds that connect generations.
Activity Assistant Nicole brought the story to life through an engaging reading that captivated young listeners. Following the story, guests enjoyed a fun craft and snack. The event created meaningful connections between generations and transformed an ordinary morning into a memorable experience for everyone involved.
