James “JMY” T.
JMY was born in a coal mining camp in Wheelright, KY. In 1967, he and his cousin set off on a Greyhound to Detroit to take a chance at music when Motown started becoming popular. On the way to Detroit, they visited family in Oberlin and that’s when he decided to stay in Ohio. JMY worked at the Lorain Ford Plant for 30 years.
